A Finance Scholar
  • Shows a keen interest in pursuing a career in a competitive financial position.
  • Has superior academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 3.4.
  • Demonstrates exceptional initiative and leadership ability.

Program Overview

Junior Year

  • An initial $1,000 scholarship for the Fall semester
  • Enroll in FIN 302 during the Fall semester and FIN 303, Spring semester
  • Preparation to find a Finance Internship for Summer
  • On-site visits to premier financial institutions in such locations as Kansas City, Dallas, Chicago, or New York during early Fall
  • $1,000 in scholarships to be allocated before graduation (subject to continued association with the Finance Scholars Program)

Senior Year

  • Main job interviewing season
  • Networking events

Application Process Timeline

Apply spring semester of sophomore or freshman year.

Application deadline: March 31
Interviews for selected applicants: early April
Finance Scholars final selection late May/early June
FIN 302 offered in Fall. FIN 303 offered in the Spring.
