University Distinguished Professor of philosophy and courtesy professor of business administration. He is the author of Business (6th ed.; also available in Japanese, Chinese, Russian and Serbian), Competing with Integrity in International Business and The Ethics of Information Technology and Business. He is one of the founders of the Society for Business Ethics and of the International Society of Business, Economics and Ethics and is a frequent speaker at business ethics conferences in the United States and abroad.

Douglas R. May

Douglas R. May is Professor of Management in the School of Business and directs activities associated with the International Center for Ethics in Business. Professor May received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His current research interests include the positive roles of emotions, cultural dimensions, and moral courage in the ethical decision-making process as well as the determinants and outcomes of experienced meaningfulness at work. Professor May's articles have appeared in such journals as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Business and Society, and the Journal of Business Ethics. His work with Brenda Flannery on environmental ethical decision-making won the ONE Division's 1999 Best Paper Award. Professor May teaches courses in business ethics, management skill development, and organizational behavior. Professor May is a past-president of the Midwest Academy of Management and has been active in the SIM Division of the Academy of Management, co-chairing the 2004 and 2005 SIM doctoral consortia. He serves on the editorial boards of Business Ethics Quarterly and the Journal of Management. Finally, Professor May regularly presents seminars on business ethics and leadership to organizations.

Professor Emeritus of business administration and co-founder of the International Center for Ethics in Business. He helped establish the Center for Ethics and Values at the Georgia Institute of Technology, has organized many executive development programs and is a frequent speaker and consultant for business. He is the author of Behavior in Organizations (3rd ed.).
