Wayne Angell, chief economist at Bear, Stearns & Co. and member of the Federal Reserve Board for 14 years, delivered the Chandler Lecture at KU. Angell concentrated on monetary policy, which is set by the Federal Reserve System. He said he realized early in life that monetary policy is more than an abstract concept; it deeply affects our lives.
