LAWRENCE ― On Thursday, Sept. 15 the Kansas Union will be host to the Business Career Fair. The School of Business Career Services Center (BCSC) organizes and promotes the Business Career Fair as an opportunity for students to network with potential employers and get a jump start on the job search.

"The career fair is just one important part of a larger process. Many of the organizations hire in the fall for next year's opportunities. Students who wait to look for a job or internship in the spring may be too late," says Cheryl Webb, Recruiting and Alumni Networks Coordinator at the KU School of Business.

Approximately 100 companies will be attending the Business Career Fair, allowing the students to make career strengthening connections and explore the various jobs and internships available.

Students wishing to attend the Business Career Fair must dress to impress in Business Professional attire. No jeans, t-shirts, shorts, gym clothes, ball caps or flip flops will be allowed. Also, make sure you have an up-to-date resume to present to potential employers. The BCSC will hold workshops on September 12 to ensure that students are prepared for the fair.

"Employers consistently tell us that the career fair is a key component of their selection process, so we encourage students to attend," Webb says.
