Four members of the University of Kansas School of Business MBA program competed in a case competition hosted by University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business and Net Impact chapter in February.
The competition featured a first round of 60 teams from across the United States and Canada. The top 20 teams advanced to the semi-final rounds in Boulder, Colo.
The School of Business team was not only selected to advance to the next round, but their project was also chosen as one of two “elite” presentations. Although their proposal was not selected into the top five finals, the participants still learned valuable information.
“Each time you get better at presenting and thinking on your feet,” said Brian Segebrecht, a participant in the weekend’s activities. “That is the usual value-add for participating in any MBA case competition.”
