The KU School of Business’ Business Career Service Center is co-sponsoring “Landing a Job in a Difficult Market” presented by the best-selling author Timothy Augustine on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Woodruff Auditorium at the Kansas Union.

The event, which is also sponsored by the coed business fraternities Delta Sigma Pi and Alpha Kappa Psi and Coca-Cola, will cover branding yourself, uncovering great jobs, finding urgent industries that are hiring, and many other job-search tactics. “This presentation will equip students with the strategies needed to succeed in the internship and full-time employment process,” said Jennifer Jordan, director of the BCSC.

Virginia Heinen, a Delta Sigma Pi representative, knows the job market is tough and students need to go the extra mile when searching for jobs. “Tim Augustine recognizes this and addresses finding a job in the most modern way by taking into account the economic conditions that put students at odds and giving them the tools necessary to help them stand out, so they can land their dream job despite the circumstances,” Heinen said.

A book signing of Augustine’s “How Hard are you Knocking?” will follow the presentation.
