Wednesday, September 15, 2010
University of Kansas School of Business students, faculty and staff consistently do things that are news worthy, and Wayne Larson, the School’s new communications coordinator, will be making sure those stories don’t go unnoticed.
Larson, who graduated with his bachelor’s degree in journalism and minor in business from KU in spring 2010, served as one of the School of Business’ communications interns for one year before being hired to a full-time position in August.
“People at the School of Business are always doing exciting things,” Larson said, “which makes my job exciting.”
Larson will be managing and contributing to many of the School of Business’ promotional materials as well as its recently redesigned website.
“Wayne’s degree from KU, including a minor in business, along with his internship in the School means he has already made a strong contribution to our Communications Office,” Toni Dixon, School of Business director of communications, said. “He has been instrumental in the recent launch of our new website and he brings significant talent and professionalism at relating the news of great things going on at the School.”
The School of Business is ranked in the top 14 percent of public schools of business by the U.S. News and World Report, and the School’s consistent good news contributes to that high ranking.
