Wednesday, February 10, 2010

KU students and faculty can find out by attending the East Asia Conference co-sponsored by CIBER in the School of Business, KU's CEAS and CGIS, and the Institute of Developing Economies, Japan External Trade Organization. The conference is scheduled for February 23, 2010, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Adams Alumni Center.

The emerging economies of East Asia are expected to lead the global economy out of its doldrums. Economic integration and intra-Asia cooperation are crucial to realize the potential for local market development and the resurgence of global trade. This conference aims to discuss economic integration and industrial development strategies in East Asia and exchange views on the potential involvement of the United States in the regional development of East Asia. The conference agenda, including a list of speakers, can be found here.
