Each year, the School of Business awards a $2,500 scholarship from the H. Bernerd Fink Scholarship Fund to a high-potential pre-business student from a Kansas high school. The scholarship is renewable for the recipient's four years as an undergraduate, so there are up to four Fink Scholars in any given year.

"Getting accepted into the Business School as a freshman was exciting in itself, but hearing I received the Fink Scholarship was definitely added encouragement," said freshman Anna Hurst, 2009-2010 Fink Scholarship recipient. "It certainly has been keeping me motivated to do well in my classes and to continue to succeed in the Business School for the next four years."

Junior Sarah Schneider and junior Alexander Vezendan are also current Fink Scholars.

In addition to being required to maintain a 3.5 GPA and enrollment in at least twelve credit hours per semester, the Fink Scholars participate in the School of Business Faculty Mentoring Program.

The Fink Scholarship is made possible by School of Business alumnus H. Bernerd Fink, class of 1931. The first award was made for the 2001-2002 academic year.
