1st Year MBA Students Travel to Denver

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

First year MBA students got a taste of the Rockies this October. Over the 23rd-25th weekend, thirteen students made the trip to Denver, Colorado as part of a professional event prepared by the MBA program. Students met with multiple representatives from three major companies: Level 3 Communications, Qwest, and EnCana. These first year MBAs also had excellent networking opportunities at the Alumni Social, where current MBA students convened with the KU masters graduates. Such events create exceptional opportunities to further the career goals of each individual student in the KU MBA program.

Boone Bradley, a first year MBA, was a participant. For him, "the networking opportunities with KU alumni and industry representatives were absolutely the highlight of the trip." He praised each company's time spent welcoming the MBA students, and was reassured that all three of the host companies will be receiving his application. The networking event, according to Boone, "had a great turnout" and being able to meet alumni was a wonderful experience.
