Professor places blame for economic woes

ProfessorRobert DeYoung will be discussing who is to blame for the country's economic recession at 12p.m. on Sept. 2 at the Ecumenical Christian Ministry (ECM) building, 1204 Oread Ave.

The free one-hour forum is open to the University and Lawrence communities. DeYoung will explain why the nation's flawed housing finance policy has been the main factor in the economic downturn.

DeYoung is a Capitol Federal Professor in Financial Markets and Institutions at the School of Business. In addition to his teaching and research duties, DeYoung was recently named editor of the "Journal of Money, Credit and Banking" publication.
