Exceptional School of Business students recognized with 2009 R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Awards
Thursday, April 30, 2009
During the 2006-2007 academic year, the KU School of Business instituted the Positive Code of Conduct. This code was developed by undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. students to serve as a guideline for students as they strive for exceptional levels of professionally virtuous behavior.
The seven principles of the code are: Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Self-esteem, Professional integrity, Equity, Compassion, and Teamwork; these principles are represented by the acronym R.E.S.P.E.C.T. The Positive Code of Conduct Award is presented annually to School of Business students who have demonstrated through their actions a high level of commitment to the Code. Outstanding students are nominated by KU faculty, instructors, students and staff.
Awards are supported by funds from the Marjorie McNish Fund for Ethics in Business.
