At the KU School of Business, Dean Bill Fuerst is known for his friendly personality and strong work ethic, not so much for his athletic prowess. Faculty, staff and students will be pleased to learn that not only is their dean dedicated to making the School of Business one of the top in the nation, he is also a former basketball player, basketball being a game close to KU's heart.

In fact, Fuerst was recently inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at his alma-mater, Knox College in Galesburg, IL. There he excelled on the court, winning letters his last three years of college and ranking 12th in the Midwest conference his junior year and 5th in the conference his senior year. The citation read at his induction ceremony notes that Fuerst is "known as one of the greatest competitors to come through the Knox basketball program."
