Supply Chain Management is a career path worthy of serious consideration by KU students. Jennifer Jordan, KU Business Career Services Center Director, said the major provides a strong employment outlook and competitive compensation.

"It's also a discipline that often leads to international travel and rapid career advancement," Jordan said. "Initial discussions with prospective employers of graduates in Supply Chain Management have led to a tremendous amount of enthusiasm from our industry partners."

Industries ranging from aero systems to retailers are looking to hire KU Business grads in Supply Chain Management. Beth Ward, General Manager for a Hallmark Cards Distribution Center, said the major provides the exact qualities she looks for in new hires.

"Every initiative we are pursuing to improve our business requires people who can think and make decisions with an appreciation of our supply chain from concept to retail shelf," Ward said. "We absolutely need new talent coming into our organization who have this capability already in their toolkits."
