School recognizes fall graduates

Tuesday, December 18, 2007

More than 200 undergraduate and graduate students walked across the Lied Center stage during the 2007 Fall Recognition Ceremony. Student speakers for the event were Kimberly Rosen, undergraduate, and Ryan Boomsma, MBA graduate. Boomsma, a native of California, said that from the beginning KU offered an environment that was far superior to any other program.

"All of the [California] schools had the ability to teach me the technical or classroom aspects of business," Boomsma commented during his speech, "but they all lacked the 'it factor', or the intangible aspects of a program such as school tradition, the college environment, and community atmosphere that create a truly great MBA program."

Boomsma recently accepted a position as a Financial Analyst at Sabre Holdings, the owner of online travel service provider Travelocity, in Dallas.
