Full-Time MBA

The full-time program is primarily for students who want to return to school full-time in order to change careers. Students will start in a cohort in the fall and complete their degree in two years. During the first year students will take their core courses in Lawrence and the second year is a little more flexible with electives offered in Lawrence and the Edwards campus in Overland Park, KS.

The program is based on rigorous research and prevailing theories that teach students how to handle future business challenges. There is an emphasis on applying the theories and models you will learn in classes through participation in case discussions, business case competitions, consulting projects with area companies, managing investments and developing business plans for new products or services. This proven instruction is further enhanced through a series of real-world learning opportunities that move students out of the classroom and into the business world.

Unique real-world learning opportunities

Unlike any other program in the area, the KU MBA provides unrivaled real-world learning experiences. From consulting with area companies, to attending national conferences, and even taking advantage of short-term study abroad opportunities, KU MBA students take an active role in their education. All full-time students are expected to have an internship in the summer between their two year program. With such a practical and engaged program, our graduates are prepared to manage with success and to lead organizations with confidence. From consulting with area companies, to attending national conferences, KU MBA students take an active role in their education.

Important campus-location information

The full-time MBA program is offered mainly in Lawrence. All required classes are offered in Lawrence along with most electives. But, some electives may be offered only at the Edwards Campus. This option provides flexibility in scheduling classes. Full-time students typically take classes on both campuses while they earn a KU MBA. Full-time students will pay the higher Edwards Campus tuition for classes taken at that location.

The K-10 Connector is a convenient and inexpensive way to travel between campuses.
