Sample Business Plans & Resources

Often the best advice for writing a business plan is to read several plans from actual companies. This helps the process make more sense. Often, you can locate a business that is similar to yours, which provides additional insight into the planning process. Here are some resources where you can find example business plans.

An excellent resource book, Business Plans Handbook: A Compilation of Actual Business Plans Developed by Small Businesses, is available at the Lawrence Public Library. (R 658.4012 BUSINESS). Websites with sample plans are listed below.
