Current Activities
Current research is focused on state economic development strategies, particularly with regard to technology and workforce preparation/training. Co-author with Anthony Redwood of the Kansas Economic Development Strategy in 1986. Work with the state of Kansas on modifications and updates of that strategy has continued since that time. A related area of interest is community and local areas economic development. A further research area of interest is determinants of employee satisfaction and retention. Has been a grievance arbitrator since 1972 and currently is on the roster of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. Is also a fact-finder for public sector negotiation impasses in Kansas.
