Master of Accounting Curriculum Guide
Prerequisite Courses
The MAcc program is designed to be a seamless 5th year of study for accounting students. However, those beginning the program without an accounting degree may be required to take certain prerequisite courses. Incoming students must have a foundation in accounting that includes coursework in introductory and intermediate financial accounting, introductory and intermediate managerial accounting, information systems for accountants, introductory taxation, and auditing.
Curriculum
The curriculum is dependent upon the specific track chosen. Each track is 30 credit hours in length, but the number and type of courses vary. Many courses in the MBA program are available to MAcc students as business electives.
Experiential Learning
In an ever increasing number, courses are moving students from the classroom and into the corporate world. These
real-world learning opportunities are specifically designed to provide graduate-level practical experience before graduation.
