Program Overview
Devoted to the mission of “elevating the professional potential of highly-qualified students through a rigorous researched-based curriculum and experiential learning,” the Evening-Professional KU MBA program utilizes a condensed curriculum specifically designed for working professionals. Fundamental business skills, theories and models are taught in a series of core classes, designed to provide a mastery of key business skills that can be used throughout one’s career. As the core curriculum comes to an end, the program is customizable with numerous concentrations and elective courses.

All core classes are offered in an eight-week format encompassing a number of instructional formats. This group of courses is vital for enhancing critical thinking, creative problem solving and professional interpersonal skills development. These are the skills necessary for success at any level and throughout one’s career.
6-Credit Hours of Waivers Available
Students with extensive academic or professional experience may qualify for waivers or substitutions from select core courses. Up to 6 hours of core courses may be waived for similar courses taken within the past five years. In addition, professional work experience may allow for elective courses to be substituted in place of core courses.
Concentrations & Elective Courses - 23-Credit Hours
Differentiate your education with a mastery of at least one specific business area. One of the most impactful ways of demonstrating that mastery is to earn a concentration. By taking a number of courses, throughout the life of the program, students can earn a concentration in one of many distinct areas of business.
