MSB Supply Chain Management

The KU School of Business, in conjunction with the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) at Fort Leavenworth, is pleased to offer Army officers the opportunity to expand their future potential with a new specialized degree in Supply Chain Management.

The Master of Science in Business with a Supply Chain Management and Logistics concentration is aimed specifically toward Army Majors and Major-eligible Captains. The degree will complement the quality military supply chain education officers enjoy while enabling a broader, civilian economy focus for those who plan to pursue logistics careers after military service. In addition, officers who continue careers in the Army are virtually required to have a Masters degree to advance beyond the rank of Major.

Logistics and Supply Chain Management are quickly becoming the business world’s most highly sought-after skill set. Whether a student plans to continue a career in the military or pursue a future civilian occupation, a Masters degree in this field remains highly desirable.

The U.S. Army Logistics Management College has accepted and sanctioned this program into the National Logistics Curriculum. The MSB-SCM degree is 30 credit hours, with 24 credits from the KU School of Business and 6 credits from the CGSC at Fort Leavenworth. The first semester this program will be offered is Fall 2008. The course format will be similar to an executive graduate program.
