Institute for International Business
Given the growing scope of international activity in recent years, the School created the Institute for International Business (IIB) to coordinate and support the internationalization of students and faculty. IIB helps guide the School’s strategy for international initiatives, curriculum and policies, and devotes resources to support those efforts. It also helps coordinate the international activities taking place through CIBER and CIMBA.
IIB is currently working to develop partnerships between the KU School of Business and business schools in emerging international economies such as China and India. The partnerships will facilitate the exchange of students and faculty, research focusing on international business, and short-term projects such as case competitions.
The Institute for International Business team consists of Professors Tailan Chi (Chair), James Guthrie, George Marakas, and Catherine Shenoy, plus IIB Director Carol Rose. The IIB Team meets monthly during the academic year. Meetings are open to any Business faculty: please contact Carol Rose, crose@ku.edu, for further information.
