Financial Assistance

Most students who are admitted to the Ph.D. program are offered attractive financial aid packages, which include scholarships, fellowships, and employment as Graduate Research or Teaching Assistants. This support is continued throughout the four to five years of the program, as long as satisfactory progress is being made. In fact, for those students making satisfactory progress, the financial support is guaranteed for the first four years.

Scholarships

Scholarships are provided which pay all tuition and fees up to five years in the program for students who are making satisfactory progress.

Employment

Most students are employed as 50% FTE Graduate Research or Teaching Assistants for the fall and spring semesters throughout their programs.

Health Insurance

The University subsidizes part of the cost of health insurance.

Fellowships

Advanced students are invited to apply for semester-long dissertation fellowships. These fellowships allow students to focus exclusively on their dissertations. Also, students are eligible to apply for grants up to $900 each year for traveling expenses, in addition to an annual $100 research account and the potential to receive further research support on a competitive basis.

SELF Fellowship

The School of Business may nominate an applicant for a Self Graduate Fellowship. The Fellowship provides a $24,000 annual stipend for four years, full tuition and fees up to 84 credit hours, and a fellow development program.

Awards

A number of teaching and research awards of varying values (from $500 to $4,050) are available to qualified students. The Graduate School has several fellowships, scholarships, and awards for which business doctoral students are eligible.
