Leadership Challenge

KU Leadership Challenge

What is Leadership Challenge?

The primary purpose of the Leadership Challenge is to help students develop their leadership potential through a formal program developed by the Business and Engineering Career Services Advisory Councils, and sponsored by many of the Council’s corporate members. The event has been designed to highlight the importance of leadership skills to students and to their future employers and allows students an excellent opportunity to network with employers in a variety of industries. Denny Faurote, a professional speaker, will lead the event. Students and employers are given information on leadership as well as provided with interactive tasks designed to promote learning while networking.

Who can apply?

The program targets Sophomores and Juniors, but is open to all undergraduates in the schools of Business (both Pre-Business & Business majors welcome) and Engineering/Computer Science who will not graduate before December 2009. A total of 50 students, 25 from Business and 25 from Engineering will be selected to attend.

When is Leadership Challenge?

Leadership Challenge participants will attend the event on Tuesday, January 13th and Wednesday, January 14th, 2009. Corporate representatives will participate with students in all activities.

When is the deadline to apply?

Applications are due by October 31st! Students will be notified by mid-December of their status. There is no cost to students for this program.
